Sal’s Pasta Deli

Pasta made fresh every morning. Homemade sauces crafted to perfection.

Sal's Pasta Deli, nestled on Napoleon Street, beckons with its distinctive arched brick facade and a symphony of scents—crispy porchetta, fresh basil, and tomato sugo. The music of Andrea Bocelli serenades the quaint shopping strip. Founder Paul "Sal" Salmeri, after an eight-year culinary odyssey in Italy and a two-year stint at London's The River Café, brought the essence of Italy to Cottesloe. Since 2018, his eponymous deli has been a local must for pasta enthusiasts.

Crafted each morning, the pasta boasts flour from a third-generation family mill in Piedmont, Italy. Pappardelle, rigatoni, casarecce, tortellini, and gluten-free options line the front cabinet. Beyond pasta, Sal's culinary prowess extends to Pinsa Romana, an ovular Roman-style pizza with toppings like mortadella, stracciatella, pistachio, and fennel. Baguettes offer variations with pesto, tomato, mozzarella, deli meats or porchetta. Pre-prepared meals, including lasagne and eggplant parmigiana, grace the menu for on-the-go satisfaction when you want a night off.

Cottesloe Beach Hotel

A historic venue serving patrons since 1905. The place to go when you can't make up your mind.

Situated moments from Solana residences, this iconic Art-Deco venue dates back to 1905 and has since become an integral part of the Cottesloe community. The Beach Club within oozes with eclectic modernity and is the perfect destination for a relaxed gathering with friends. With cosy corners built for ease of conversation, ambient lounge areas and mouthwatering share plates make this vibrant hub an idyllic place to escape on balmy summer days.

The menu has been carefully cultivated to provide a variety of locally sourced dishes that complement the curated selection of beer and wine. After dusk, an atmosphere of comfortable sophistication emanates throughout, bringing to life the award-winning Mixology Bar to create an air of excitement, whilst the Terrace offers an intimate space for date nights with the other half.

The Shorehouse

The sun-drenched outdoor area grants every guest with ocean views.

A culinary institution, The Shorehouse is widely recognised as one of Perth's premier beachside restaurants. A stylish deck adorned with whitewashed walls, lively pastel touches and weathered timber crafts an ambience reminiscent of an elegant yet laid-back beach house. The kitchen adopts an easygoing Sunday-by-the-sea philosophy, a modern take on Australian cuisine. The crowning gem is a thoughtfully lightened black kingfish tartare, enriched by a lively pickled jalapeño and a medley of apple puree and avocado served with a side of beetroot cracker.

An opulent plate of Futari Wagu carpaccio showcases the elegance of meat with a garlic and anchovy cream, marrying an orchestra of flavours. The charcoal-infused Josper oven earns its keep, imparting a subtle smokiness and char to dishes featuring plump Shark Bay prawns, spiced chicken and other proteins hailing from Western Australia. Here, a concise terrace menu introduces oysters, croquettes and other share plates in the afternoon—a perfect complement to an expansive cellar boasting an array of award-winning wines and a signature Bloody Mary, all creating an exciting dining experience.

Bring your four-legged friend to this local must.

Just a short stroll from Solana, this trendy little eatery serves health-focused brunch dishes and speciality coffee in an eclectic, homey setting. With a history dating back to the 1980s, this welcoming coffee dispensary is one of Cottesloe’s most vibrant spots.

From its humble origins as a corner delicatessen, Daisies has become one of Perth's most famous cafes. Known for its laidback atmosphere, freshly roasted coffee beans, local pantry goods and endless selection of healthy (and not so healthy) menu items, you can’t go wrong with a slow morning sipping on tea and relishing an artisanal flaky croissant.
